In 2005 City Council approved the concept of bringing a mounted patrol back to the City Of Williamsport for a one year trial period.
Six officers from the Williamsport Bureau of Police attended training from Master Trainer Rodriguez(Wilkes Barre Police) that certified them to utilize a horse patrol.
The following officers and their horses are the current members of the Mounted Unit.
